Respected Srivastavaji,
I think you are only wasting your time if you expect the residents of Supertech to unite and do something for the welfare of our own society and fight for our own cause. Strangely, here people seem concerned only with their own flats and welfare, having little or no concern about the welfare of other residents or society. If it were not true, then how come the state of our society has come to such a sorry pass – that too in just about 4 years? And the wonder of all wonders is that a majority of residents are still enjoying a sound sleep in their home! May be they believe that if something happens to our building, their home and family would still be safe!
Don't wonder. This is the typical thinking of us Indians. That is why we pay no attention to people in distress or even those dying on the road or being murdered before our own eyes. We always think that bad things and misfortunes are meant only for the other people, while nothing wrong will ever happen to us. But, alas, that could be true!
What surprises me most that just mention the name of the builder and say anything against them and there are many residents around us whose blood gets boiling as if the builder were their MAAI-BAAP! On the other hand, there are many residents who prefer to keep mum and look the other way as if they are employed by the builder and the builder would kill them if they utter a single word against them. Are you expecting these people to unite and fight back?
I am sorry to say but we really seem to have forgotten the saying that BRAVE PEOPLE DIE ONCE, BUT COWARDS DIE EVERYDAY!
Yours,
Sanjeev Sinha

ReplyDeleteWell said. But again the million-dollar question is: Will it make any difference? Not for the residents of Supertech, at least. May be they might be living in a 'modern' slum, but they believe that they are residing in Buckingham Palace! So why to complain for anything? Who can change their thinking?
ReplyDeleteThere is an old saying: "Haathi chale bazaar, kutta bhoonke hazaar". Our builder thinks of Supertech residents in the same way. And with our silence we have proved that they are right in their thinking!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mr Sinha for your valuable comments regarding SRO Residents.

Sinha ji kya kariyega. Kuchh builder ke dalal apne RWA mein baithe hue hai. we log khate yaha ki hai lekin gaate builder ki hai. ye log jab tak bhagayeye nahi jaayenge aapna kuchh nahi ho sakta. ye log kingmaker bhi bane hue hai aapne swarth ke khatir. ye log Mr. JP, Mr Gupta ke yahan darbar lagate hai. unko back-up, parking, maintanance mein concession mila hua hai isi gaddari ke liye. ye log sub committee mein bhi baithe haue hai aur apna ullu sidha kar rahe hai. Jai bharat, jai supertech
ReplyDeleteDear SinhaJi, you have hit the nail bank on target! I am not aware whether you were present when the builder had issued letter to increase charges to Rs. 1.50. In the executive body meeting one person had immediately commented that "bahut mehgayee badh gayee hai! Charges toh badhana hi hoga! Dedh nahin toh sawa rupaya karna hi parega chahei jaisi bhi service ho!" Thereafter, another gentle(!)man widely known as the kingmaker (just like Shibu Soren of JMM or Prakash Karat of CP who have few drunkards as followers) immediately chipped in to suport him. Same story was repeated in the subsequent GBM. However, one person then had stood and made some suggestions to tackle the mischief of builder and which were promptly accepted by all residents.
ReplyDeleteIt is the same person referred earlier above who conducted a secret meeting with builder on a saturday when meeting of corecommittee with builder was scheduled and the builder had purposely arrived very late and the committe members had left the venue.
Again, whatever is said of our esteemed Treasurer is like showing lamp to Sun! He is also a great follower of the kingmaker! Only God knows if residents' monies have been splurged on booz parties happening daily in basement and on 31 Dec and holi in community hall.
These very people have now become successful in handing over our entire RWA to the builder and his people! Earlier they had given it to a person with criminal records to run! God Save us!
Ha ha ha ha ha ha!!
